Moving Forward to Net Zero

Working with UFI (the global association of the exhibition industry), and in line with our parent company RELX, we are on course to become net zero by 2040 - a full 10 years ahead of our industry’s 2050 pledge.

Sustainability is a fundamental and uncompromised aspect of our business. We are committed to taking action, being transparent, and engaging in conversations that help us achieve our objectives better and faster.

As we progress on our journey, we welcome feedback and engagement from customers, suppliers and stakeholders. Through our many initiatives we hope to transform the way in which events are hosted in the region; lead by example; and create a legacy of care and responsibility towards the future.

We run on 100% Clean Energy

The World Future Energy is powered by 100% clean energy provided by the Emirates Water and Electricity Authority (EWEC) as part of their Clean Energy Certificate (CEC) scheme, run in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy.

Creating a More Sustainabile Summit

At every edition of the World Future Energy Summit, we aim to do more than we did the year before. As a team, we actively aim to build, design and create user experiences within our event that further the net zero ambitions we care about. From water fountains to waste reduction, we are constantly evolving how we stage our exhibitions and conferences to be better citizens of the future.

Materials

We use recyclable materials for as many of our spaces as possible. Our Sustainability Business Connect Buyer’s Lounge - for example - is created from recyclable woodchip.

Stand Construction

From our shell scheme to our Platinum Stand build options, all our exhibitor options are made from reusable materials.

Stands & Waste

Whatever cannot be reused is recycled. We recycle all stands, materials and waste after breakdown to minimise any, and all, contribution to landfills.
